Learnings and Beliefs

We owe it to our students to do better than we are:
The Memoirs of Jessie James

I remember all those thousands of hours that I spent in grade school watching the clock,
waiting for recess or lunch or to go home.
Waiting: for anything but school.
My teachers could easily have ridden with Jesse James
for all the time they stole from me
– Richard Brautigan

It's not about the tools, it's about the skills

We are educating a generation which has grown up in front of a browser.

Educators need to bridge the gap between how their students live and how they learn.

With the technological arsenal at our disposal there can be no excuse for poor teaching practice other than system imposed expecations which sap the enthusiasm and motivation of time poor teachers for little benefit.

Students also need to be equipped with the technological language which is highly jargonistic.
